You've stumbled upon a weight loss blog :) Yay for you! ChunkyChick.net consists of random resources and information to inspire myself and others on their weight loss journey. This Chick is on a mission to flatten bellies!! ...and maybe maintain proper nutrition while she's at it. This Chick went from 215lbs to 150lbs over the course of 2 years. Then her and hubby decided it was time for a baby (aw!) so all that hard work went to good use to create a healthy environment for a little bundle of joy. On May 11, 2010 they welcomed baby Elizabeth Katherine into the world (7lbs 10oz, 21 inches long and the cutest button nose!)... and 70 unwanted pounds. So here goes the weight loss journey once again, this time as a mama on a mission! You’ll also find recipes, tips & tricks, and other random information targeted to make a weight loss journey a tad bit more enjoyable.. so you can get on out there a rock it! In addition to this weight loss mission. This mama has become a little crunchy since delivery... if you've ever been interested in going green or even just saving a buck, keep your eyes peeled for cloth diaper, babywearing, breastfeeding, and homemade oh-so-healthy baby food info to pop up on the blog or in the helpful links.
The ChunkyChick Blog is updated every Monday with an occasional post throughout the week. The blogs are about the daily struggles of a mama trying her darnedest to lose weight and improve her life (and health!) in this crazy chaotic burger-and-fries driven world. With low self esteem to battle and the daily temptations of delicious foods with temperamental drama thrown in.. there’s a lot to blog about! In August 2003, I was a size 18 and 200+ pounds. After starting Weight Watchers March 2007, I was down to size 8 and 150 pounds by April 2009. In August 2009, we conceived our first little miracle. The pregnancy picture is from 37 weeks in April 2010. The day before I delivered (May 11, 2010) I weighed in at a whopping 224 pounds. After delivery I was in size 16 jeans and so discouraged I was in tears. I am more determined than ever to see the skinny me again! This is all about my new journey as a mama on a misson to get down to 145 pounds and/or size 8!
